Thomas Vaudrey (1827-1899) of Sandbach (grandson of Daniel Davenport)

Thomas Vaudrey(1827-99) was born in Swettenham, but moved to Sandbach where he was living with his parents in the 1851 census - he was a shoemaker. In 1853 he married Hannah Brough at Newcastle upon Lyme - Staffordshire potteries and they returned to Sandbach where they lived until about 1858. About this time they immigrated to the USA en route to Utah; daughters were born in Brooklyn, New York, USA in 1859, and 1861, and the youngest was born in Draper, Utah in 1863. Thomas and his family lived around Draper Utah and raised a large family where Thomas died in 1899 and Hannah his wife died in 1887. Their children were Hannah Vawdrey(1855-1917),Thomas Vawdrey (1857-1911), Nephi Vawdrey(1858-1920), Sarah Vawdrey (1859-1927), Harriet Vawdrey (1861), Betty Vawdrey (1863)
